Following the recent release of its Geforce GTX 570 Phantom card, Gainward decided to add yet another GPU to the Phantom series, the GTX 580.

Just like the previously announced GTX 570 Phantom, this one also features a rather unique custom cooler with three 80mm fans, six heatpipes and a large aluminum heatsink with a copper base. The custom cooler also makes this card a bit large so bear in minde that it does take more than two slots.

The new GTX 580 Phantom card features 512 CUDA cores and works at 783MHz for the GPU, 1566MHz for shaders and 4020MHz for 3GB of GDDR5 memory paired up with a 384-bit memory interface.

The backplate features two DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs and the card supports all the goodies like Nvidia CUDA, SLI, 3D Vision Surround, PhysX and support for DirectX 11.

The release date or the actual price haven't been announced.
